welcome to a new video and today's videowe are going to do a test on a new wireless lavalier system that was sentto me for testing purposes this iscalled the lensgo 348sopretty expensive it's not a budget kindof wireless mic i have mitch todaybecause he owns the rode wireless go 2is one of the wireless systems that idon't have if you want to check out ourother videos on wireless systems clickon the top right hand corner of thescreenwe have video tests from the saramonicthe sony w2bt i got the catapultagainst the rode wireless go to so mitchtell us a little bit about this lensgo microphone where is it from oh umi don't know much about this because youjust introduced this to me it's fromchina and the packaging alone feels quite solidyou know feels like feels like actuallyit feels like the go-to uh packaging anduhright off the bat when youtook a look at the receiver and the uhand the transmitters what do you tell meit's a bit bigger yeah slightly thickerthan the road go in terms of thickness in terms of thethickness yep and the size the size isslightly bigger i think yeah slightlythicker slightly bigger that's what she saidthey do come in three colors just to letyou know white black and goldshoes yep it's on the box here so i gotthe white one that was sent to me from lensgo what i liked about this lensgo right is the magnetic clip clip whereyou can put it at any side of your shirtyeah you can check it out on the screenright yeah you can put it in and thenyou can turn it around you can adjusthow low you want how high you want butfor the go you see it's right at the topso either way you need to clip it onsome part of your jacket or shirt yeahso that's thisthing it's kind of a fix because this uhthis is using magnets so you can justmagnetize any part of your shirt yep youcan put it here you put it down at thebottom yeah and uh something interestingabout this the price of this lensgo three four ac mid is this costs 250 usdollars the cooling cost 299 usdthe rode wireless go to which we allknow it's a super product uh anywhere inthe world i think thatproduct is from australia i believe uhthe top selling wireless systems theroad wireless goesthey're retailing for about 300 us onamazon this is 250 usd so that's why ithink it's important to do a audiocomparison yep and he absolutely loveshis rode wireless go-to love it yeah hetrashed the hell out of mine whencharles called me i said we must do acomparison because i want to seesomething that that that you know beatsthe road but i'll give you a shortsummary on the screen right now uh the lensgo 348c has a range of up to 70meters unobstructedin comparison to the road wireless go towhich is 200 meters 200 meters andanother thing about the lens grow that alot of the other wireless systems don'thave this has external recording wherebyyou can putan sd card or a tf card you can checkout on the screen you can put it in andbasically by doing thatyou won't lose audio or you know ifthere's anydisturbances in the frequency whichsometimes makes you lose the audio onthe camera seem like the road wirelessgo through that was one of the goodfeatures about the road right yeah yeahbecause uh that's the only one that wehad that could do internal recordingcorrect it's somehow it's like externalinternal recording because for the rodewireless go 2it's considered external recording butit has built-in memorythat's the difference for the lensgo it's external recording but it's usingan sd card so that is right so do wehave to plus the sd card to the price ofthisyeah you need to buy your own sd cardsbasically yeah so it comes out over thesame price right yeah that's trueand also one thing to take note is boththe rode wireless go 2 and this lenscode does not come with a wired labeljust to let you know so uh just to giveyou a price of how much one roadwireless label comes about is about 90right about 90 sing about 70 usdone label if you got two if you're usinga dual transmitter system which is likeyeah it's going gonna come up to reallyreally expensive and uh yeah basicallywe're gonna do the test uh just to letyou know we are filming right nowon the lensgo whatever audio you'vebeen hearing is on the lensgo 348yeah straight out of the camera i amusing my nikon z62 so mitch what do youwant to do right now we'll probably dothe range test okay range testunobstructed and one obstructed oh sureokay so the lensgo like i said 70meters the road while let's go 200meters we're gonnafilm all the way downstarting let's go right now okay i willwalk with the lens school first okay i'malready hooked upyeahand ready go mitch okayand then once you turn around normallyif you turn around this is the big issuestart talking i'm walking i'm walkingi'm walking i'm stilli gonna justand uhwalk it againi think we kind of lost himyeah i think we lostSo can you see okay now he's turned backand we can hear his audio i've reachedthe end can you is the transmissionstill going on but once he turns aroundthen i'm walking backso it needs to be unobstructedpreviously my back was facing the camerasoturn aroundokay nowi got him to turn aroundand there you have it we lost audioyep okay cannot you can't hear me nopeityou need a bite is it yeahthenow do you get ityes okay if you're facing the camera youcan hear it but once you turn aroundcan you hear mei'm walkingnopeyep so that's a big issue straight outof the box it needs to be line of sighteven if you turn around you're going tolose audio that's why i guess theexternal recording and i'm turningaround tdamn importantso once you turn around it's gone ohthere's no line of sight means it's goneyeah oh okay okay so now we're gonna dothe external recording okay okay andthen we see if we turn around butyeah then we can see so you just need topressyes you can see the light once you pressthat you can see the red light means theexternal recording is on okayso i'll do the external recording nowand i'm walking awayso i guess it would pick up becauseit's just recording directly fromthe front of me so yepand i'm talking and talking and talkingand walking and walking and talking andwalkingand i'm still walkingprobably about 30 meters awaybut anywho it's recording on an sd cardsoyeah shouldn't be a problemandyepbut i guess shouldn't be a problembecause it's just internal recordingrightbut hopefully that external recordingworks even without the line of sightso i'm interested to know and reallyit's super important to have thatexternal recording featureso we won't know for now but theexternal recording if i use the correctmemory card yep it should work and yeahbasically that's pretty cool becausewhen you're filming you won't know whenyou're going to turn around and then allright yeah that's that's okay so nowlet's go on to the road wire let's gotwo two two okay now we're going to dothe test on the road wireless go to andwe'll compare the quality and the rangeand theobstruction and everything abstractionokay okay so weget started so i'm going to walk thatway yep if the update is there and thenourlet you know whetheryou lose the audio and thenlet's gookay okay so i'm going to start the testnow on the rope wire let's go throughand we're going to do the range test andi'm going to turn around and you'll seewhether the audio is lost or not fromprevious tests it wasn't lost right yepyep it wasn't lost okay so i'm gonnastart walking walking backwards now youcan hear me definitely you can hear mevery clear and now i'm gonna turn aroundnononoi hope you can hear me here on the 50thfloor gonna turnboth thesewireless systems have externalrecordings so that won't be an issue ifyou feel that you know you're gonna beturning around and stuffjust use the external recording if youforget to then um yeah but uh the goalcomes automatically so you don't have toenable it yeah that's correct that'scorrect so let's listen to the audioright now and then we'll give you ourreview so let's go let's go coolall right guys so after reviewing theaudio on the lensgo 348c basically alot of how good the audio quality comesout will depend a lot on your camera preamps as well so i was using the nikonz62and the nikon c62s pre-amps are indeedpretty good so following that point itdepends a lot on your camera preamps andyou're gonna get a lot better audio whenyou use the audio coming from theinternal recording on your lensgo 348so just to point that outusing the internal recording on your lensgo 348 has better noisecancellation as compared to the audiocoming from the camera which like i saiddepends a lot on how good your camerapreamps are in terms of noisecancellation and uh voice enhancement soyeah basically on the nikon z62 theaudio coming straight out of the camerawasn't as good in terms of noisecancellation as if you were to compareit to the internal recording and rightnow i'm filming on the sony a7cso i'm gonna let you listen right now tothe internal recording whatever you'vebeen hearing for the last like 30seconds was the audio from the sony a7cnow i'm gonna let you listen to theinternal recording and you're going toseeare you going to hear better noisecancellationright now so in summary to end off thisvideo is the lensgo 348 worth its pricepoint at 250 us dollars i can say prettymuch yesi like the whole styling the wholepackaging everything that comes with thebox the audio quality and everythingone thing i hope they include whichwould be the wired labels that would bei thinka prettygood selling point in comparison to therode wireless go to so if they includethe wire labelsthat would make it a better price pointfor uh consumers to buy so in summary isthis lensgo 348 better than the rodewireless go toi'm i'll have to say not yet maybealmost the rode wireless go 2 definitelyhas better noise cancellations evenstraight out of the camera and alsobetter bass so the and the audio qualitysounds a lot more powerful if you wantto put it that way more treble basicallyand more bass as well so uh is it asgood as the rode wireless go to maybenot yet but maybe after a fewenhancements and tweaks they probablycan get the internal recording on the lensgo 348 as good as the rode wirelessgo to which you know like i said it hasbetter noise cancellation for internalrecording i hope to include more bassand more treble as well so
