sound and sound engineering andtoday he's going to help me unbox this little guy the lensgo 348c this is a little cute microphone actually it's two transmitters with onereceiver and we're really interested tosee how this performs but for now let'ssee what's in the box yes do you want todo the honors my friend sure marcusdoesn't get to unbox anything with us sothis is like that's the microphoneno so we gotthis cage this case also uh the chartingit's the charging station that's verycool yeahand on the charging station i chargedlast night just so that we wouldactually be able to show you some of themicrophone todaybut it has a red light that comes onwhen everything's all charged up thatright light here and ready to go yeahyeahno not that red lightso if you press here all everything goesto record immediately right yeah and wealso have some neat cablesyeah and an extra magnet for sticking itto your shirt yeah so you know theseguys actually have a clip to them butthey also have magnets to them so youcan just stick it to any magnet i sawone guy stick it to his insta 360lanyard that has the magnet for theinsta360 go so we have this cablethat goes from thefrom the receiver to the camera rightand that's a trs to trs yeah and we havethis camera this cablewhich is a trs to a trrsyeah it's for a different camerafor a different camera yeah yeahand a manual a manualand the usbc to usb charger yeah yeahusb right on let's open that up let'ssee what we getoh my goodnessthey're so tiny and so cute check theselittle guys outso this here is the transmitterit reminds me of nintendoyeahactuallyit really does doesn't it or the theanniversary one that you could get toowe'll take thethat off for a second so you can seethat's a nice looking little unitand you can that's the receiver this isthe receiver and it has an output jacknow again last night after i finishedcharging them i tested them real quickjust i'm sorry i had to play this doesnot work as a headphone jack just so youknow it's like uh the difference betweena mic cable and a line cable it has togo into some sort of recording device acamera or something or else it's goingto sound like your mic is broken butinto camera directly or into your laptopsounds awesome but if you stick aheadphone in there to see what it soundslikedon't you're just going to be sad i waslike ohso magnet clip comes off oh my gosh yeahthat's insaneoh my goodness yeahyeah that's going to hold on just aboutany magnet that you put it onso transmitter and then these are thereceiversyeahso we have a windshield hereand we have a microsd card reader yeah is that the rightsize that one i think soso why it has the micro sd reader thisis what really caught my eye on thisunit so you can have the receivertaking the audio back to your camerafrom your subjectsbut in case you lose transmission itactually has an on-board recording soimagine you're doing a wedding orsomething like that you want the audioto go straight to the recording incamera butyou it's a wedding right you don't wantto ruin somebody's wedding audio rightso you have a fail safe it records onboard up to a 32 gig memory card yeswhich will give you plenty of audio likedays of audio yeah yeahexactly yeah and we have ausbc port hereand that's i think if you don't have thecage exactlybecause this comes also with just thesingle unit so you can actually use ausbc charger to charge these as well orif you forget the box at home but you dowant to bring the back the box becauseit's so cool it's so cool what aninteresting little case yeahsomething else that you should know fivehours of battery life on these guys iswhat it claims and we will definitelyput that to the test we'll have linustalk for five hours and see how thatgoes nowe'll figure it out but uh five hours ofbattery life should we fire these onyeah sure but we also should mentionthat you can yes unclip thisand then you have the actual mic thereyou can also put in alab mic or something yeah so i have withmeright nowthe microphone for thezoomf2right here yeah and i mean that's apretty generic microphone and it worksit actually works fine this is what itested with the headphones last nightsome microphone transmitter receiverswhoseyou know a little bit bigger brands likesonyrefuse to use other people's microphonesat timesnot always but a lot of the time thatcan be annoying but in this case thesework great with the zoom microphone andi think probably most generic cloudmicrophones you can pick up will usethese fine to power them on super easyyou justhold down the power button on the sideit comes on right away and if you poweron your one yesit's already onif i turn that onit should come up right awaythat the transmitters are allpowered yeah you can change this frommono to stereoby simply holding in the twovolume buttons thereand it will change it from s to mbut you can go from stereo to mono soamono would make these two channels mixedtogether like a mix mono if you havebothtransmitters going but if you have it instereo it'll separate the audio fromthis guyfrom that guy is there only a display onthat one yesyeah that's a bit of an annoyance so youhave the one with the memory card in itright yes so if you just click therecord buttonyou can see it should start glowing redyeah yeah and i i can't because i don'thave a memory card in mine yeahso now he's got a backup recordingandhello there welcome to tech tips withamanda and marcus todayrightsoit's a cool little device i can't waitto get out of the field and we'lldefinitely take it out today and do alittle bit of sound check before we haveour big comparison with the othercompetitors yeah marcus what's the priceon this bad boy it's uh 248 dollars 248248 us lensgo 348c we have thereceiver on the c70 here and i have onemicrophone with the dead sockand then i have the other with azoom f2 microphone on it as well as thezoom f2 bt on my side so we have oneclean audio to compare withone audio through thesimilar exact same microphone into thelens goand the lens goes actualdead socki will put here or dead sock dead cati'll put hereand i have an sd cardin this guy so i'll also record thiswe're going to do a distance test andalso a comparison test so i'm going tostart recordingthere so i got the red light on him nowi'm going to place him on my beltor on my pocketwhichever worksget on thereand then i'm gonna take this guy i'mgonna put him right next to themicrophones heresuper easyget on there there there we go so youshould be getting audiofrom all the microphones in all the waysnow we're gonna walkto each lamp post is about2525 metersgive her give or takeso let's see if we can get to the fourthone and that'll be 100 meters all rightlet's go so uh i'll back up first soit's a really nice day now it's startingto get a little cold outside there wassome frost on the grass this morningbuti mean beautiful fall day here in swedenso meter mark rightthis is where we should be i'm going totest just turning aroundand again there we golet's walk the next25 meters this way thenyeahwithout line of lose itpast 50 metersso here we gooh jake says he sees us now he has usnow thumbs are upthumbs are in the up positionso we already knowi already know thatoh sorry we already know we lost yo wheni turned my back at 50. so let's go tothe meters youcan have poor line of sightand still be okay with this microphonebut you know line of sight is always anissue with all transmitter receivermicrophones both professional andnon-professionalsothere you guys have itwe'll uhwe'll go to some conclusions here howabout thatso there you have it after we did ourlittle test with the lens gowe did find that it did drop the audiowhen my back was to it of course there'slots of stuff that affects yourtransmission when you're outthis is just a 2.4 gigahertzreceiver transmitter system you'd have alot better luck with the more advancedsonys and sennheisers that are out therehowever we are going to put it to thetest with some of other microphones thatwe are having coming some some otherwireless transmitter packs that we havecoming sofor the price thoughi did think this recorded pretty goodthe sound was all right andi didn't really mind it that muchactually in in terms of the quality itworks and it works all right for themoney this could be your solutionagain this was about 200 euros or 200buckslittle more than 200 bucks i think itwas 250butbear in mind that the more professionalsennheisers and stuff like that they canrun you up to 600 800 even a thousandbucks sogive this a try if you're on a budgetthis might be the microphone for youwe'll come back with some more testingagainst the competitors like the rode
