new wireless microphone system

[Music]hi my name is caleb bronco and today weare testing out a new wireless microphone system from lensgo the 348c so let's get into it a quick disclaimerbefore we jump in lensgo did send methis mic to review but they are notpaying me and they have no input on thisvideo before its release the lensgo 348c is a super compact microphone andreceiver system that rivals the rode wireless go to but with a few twists themicrophones come in this really coollike airpod style charging case which uhit's kind of cool open it up and thenthere's slots for the receiver the twomics and then accessories i guessum and i thought that was kind of coolalso what's fun isit's it's it's shapedjust likejust like the microphone so it's just areally big microphone although you can'trecord to this one so that's fun andsimilar to the road wireless go to itcan record two subjects at the same timewith the two uh microphone modulesstraight to the one receiver that isplugged into your camera but also youcan record directly to the device itselfwhich is very handy as a backup or incase there's any interference gettinginto the build quality of this system ithink it's really cool that it comeswith its own charging case uh kind ofair pod style so you can just drop themin and they can just charge on the gohoweverthat's kind of where the fun stops forme because the build quality is prettyatrocious fromjust using itthis case feels incredibly cheap all uhit's it feels if the plastic on thisfeels like like a happy meal toy thatyou would get at mcdonald's which umi hope is not being too mean but that'sexactly what it feels like to me andit's not much different either for theactualmodules themselves they are prettysimilar plastic they sound hollowand it's justit feelslike a toy it feels really cheap itdoesn't feel like a professionalmicrophone system like they advertise itas one thing they advertise a lot onthese is the magneticum pop offlittle thing with this clip herefor like tucked into shirts and or beltsor whatnot whichthe idea is great it's a really coolidea concept in practice absolutelyatrocious fora couple reasons which i will get intofirst of all the magnet is a circlesoon the back of here when it's plugged init just spins around freely so trying toget itto plug intoor not plug but clip onto a subject isjust kind of a nightmare to be honest uhit just spins around and doesn'tactually hold it well this i reallythink they should have used um a squareit would have made a lot more sense itjust slots right in and then also whileyou're trying to clip it i don't know ifyou can see that it just kind of popsback and it like it feels like it'sgoing to go flying because it's justgoing to goand just go flying thankfully themagnets are pretty tough umbutnot great also more to the point on themagnets umso on this one works great on the onethat is in my pocket that is currentlyuh recording the audio for this video umwithin five minutes of opening the boxtheglue holding the magnet in on the backof the clip i guess just failed and umso now it doesn't have a clip it so i'dhave to re-glue it but also i'm it'sreally hard to get the magnet out ofthis little slotum sofinding that pretty difficult so that'sfun uh so yeahhonestly the build quality of this isabsolutelyatrocious so keep that in mind and it'snot even just the case or the modulesthat feel cheap the actual thethe cords that come with it the uh trsthe trrsum it's just it feelsvery very flimsy and veryvery cheapumi just not a fan ofthe build quality andthe accessories that come with it theyfeel equally just as cheap but i reallylike the idea and the design that theywent forumwith just kind of being able to likedropdrop them in and close it and then theycan charge like on the go or in your bagthat's great i love that idea also it'skind of cute that the charging case isjust a giant microphonekind of fun getting into the featuresfor this system the batteries on themicrophones will last up to seven hoursand the batteries on the receiver willlast for up to eight hours i haven'tpersonally tested this myself because idon't have seven or eight hours just tosit around andwait for a little thing to die i don'thave eight hours of talking to do maybei dowho knows anyway thoughthat's great similar to the rode wireless go to umthat's aperfect amount of time to be able to getwhatever you need done and if you needto charge it again thecharging casevery very handy they use a 2.4 gigahertzwireless transmission signal which um isthe same as a wi-fi system and a lot ofother um like electronics soit's a pretty strong connection but ifyou're in a very built up area orthere's a lot of like electronics aroundyou it can interfere with the signalwhich is why record being able to recordstraight to the um the system itselfinstead of having to transmit it um tothe receiver isawesome either as a backup or just beingable to do that by itself that is ahuge plus something i noticed is thatthe signal from the microphone to thereceiver cuts out pretty easily it's notthethe strongest connection um unlessyou're basically facing directly towardsthe receiver and there's nothingblocking the path like ifbasically if you if you're facing thecamera and then you turn aroundand you're basically your body isblocking the signaluhit'll cut outalmost every time which is why youpretty much to use this system like onthe go you pretty much have to record tothe like device itself which i don'treally have a problem withum but it could make monitoring it forum someone operating the camera a littlebit difficult something i do like is onthe microphones there is a actual uhrecord button which is very nice andthen to uh to start and stop therecordings you hold it down for aboutthree seconds and it'll start to flashred um so you know that you're likerecording which is very helpful thatthere's actually a light or somethingtelling you uh hey it's recordingbecause there's a lot of devices thati've seen that um you just kind of haveto hope that it's working so that'spretty nice they say that the microphonecan transmit up to 230 feet which ishalf the distance of the rode wirelessgo 2 which is a little bit disappointingand the optimal distance for recordingto the receiver is 130 feet which is notthat much for this type of system butit should get the job done whenrecording um the two microphones to theone receiver it does the same thing asthe rode wireless go to where it recordsone microphone to the left channel andthen the other microphone to the rightchannel whichis fine it gets the job done um but youhave to make sureum that in post you separate the twotracks so you got to duplicate the audioand then switch the left and the rightum so you have the two different peopleotherwise it's you're going to have oneperson coming out of one ear and theother person coming out of the other earand it's just going to soundjust awful so definitely make sure tohop in and do that if you're recordingtwo subjects at the same time but how isthe audio quality for this device wellyou have actually been hearing thisentire video so far um recorded fromthis lav straight into the lensgo 348c so if you if you like itthere you go you've been hearing it thisentire time the transmission from themicrophone to the receiver within theoptimal distance is great but anythingoutside that or if you're turning or ifyou're likeif if anything's blocking you like ifyou walk behind a wall or if you'regoing through like a crowd of peopleit's gonna get pretty messed up prettyquickly so i don't personally think iwould rely ever on the receiver itselfand i would honestly i would alwaysrecordto the device itself but now on to theprice which could basically make orbreak this product if it's really cheapit's going to be amazing absolutelykiller if it's expensivei don't really see a point and it costs250 dollars so it's 50 dollars less thanthe rode wireless go 2 which if you'reon a really strict budgetum that 50 savings could be well worthit but personallyi would spend the extra 50 and get therode wireless go 2. it has way morefeatures minus the charging case and itis they are built like tanks but if youdon't really care about the buildquality and you're just going to beusing thisinside and for light stuff and uh andthat 50 savings means a lot to you thiswould be a fantastic product for you onething that's kind of weird though is ican the only place that i can findthis system for sale even though theysent it to me is on ebay that's the onlyplace that i've seen it listed it's noton any of like the camera websites andif you go to their own websiteit's really weird because when you hitthe buy it now buttonit just pulls upum an email to send to them soi don't know what that's about if youhave to inquire about them and but um idon't know i wouldn't have a buy nowbutton on your website if you're notactually just gonna sell it and put itinto a cart it's very strange i think itis so great that we are starting to seemore and more of these uh wirelessmicrophone systems popping up on themarket because it's finally bringingsome competition and they have to steptheir game up and they're bringing newideas like this charging case which ithink is really cool and um i think uhwe're gonna see some really cool devicesum in the near future especially um ithink a mark ii of thiscould practically be perfect if theyjust fix a few of theissues like the build qualityand just a little bit of thedesign and maybe add some morerecording formats i think that would beexcellent but with all that being saidthat is going to do it for today's videoif you enjoyed it please consider likingand subscribing it is 2022 i am gonnahit the ground running even though it'sfebruary already i'm gonna be making alot more youtube videos this year i'mgonna really focus on this channel umand yeah i think that's gonna be aboutit if you have any umvideo ideas for me or reviews that youwould like to see or companies that ishould reach out to to see if they wouldlike to collaborate let me know down inthe comments i would love to hear thatbut anyways i will catch you in the nextone see ya[Music]
